Some people think art is only paintings and sculpture But the truth is everything we do is art from Grandma making beautiful quilts to a set of cabinet for a house. It is all the same someone working with there mind and body to create something of use. Yes the key is use. Things that make life easier or more interesting. Well then you ask how do you use a picture of dogs playing poker. Does it make you laugh or does it  just make you think now that is the stupid thing I have ever seen. What ever your reaction is. It is right to you. And that is its purpose. So don't judge art or people for what they produce. Its not a contest its just what humans do.
