School Daze

It is hard to believe I have been here so long and that is how I once looked
Life goes by so fast and furious. I am so fortunate to have been given the ride.
I can't stop laughing every time I see this. And of course my 17 year old daughter thinks
I was born in the stone ages.. Black and white Didn't they have color back then Yes but the
school and this part of the country is poor and cheap. And it still is today . ha ha. Oh well
Its nice to look back but only for a second. You have to keep moving foreword..

Satisfaction

Here is a painting of a woman being pleasured. The window is open with a cool breeze blowing the curtains. The light is on and the blinds are up so you can see she is an exhibitionist. From this pose it is not clear if she is being pleasured or pleasuring herself. However her facial expression makes it quite obvious what she is doing. With the sweet fragrance of the flowers in the foreground. This is a copy of a American painter named Wesselmann. I think. He was a contemporary of Andy Warhol . Its a 30 x 40 oil on linen $ 200.000 USD

Sewing Quilts

My youngest daughter was watching Project Runway the other day and said she would like to learn how to design clothes that looks like fun. So I got my Grandmothers old machine out and we made a Cape. It did not take long before it turned into work and that is something she is not accustom to ha ha.It is tedious and time consuming. And even tho she has more patience than most people her age. Not when it comes to this kind of work. But me on the other hand this is close to painting wielding carpentry its a lot like doing ceramic tile work or Laying brick cut little pieces and put them together. And with my COPD I don't have to smell paint fumes or wielding fumes or saw dust or cement dust. Its a lot easier on my lungs. So here  is a quilt I made the other day .I constructed it out of old work shirts mostly from when I was a wielding. Some pieces have little holes from the splatter of the rods. I made a few quilts last month but I think I am done. Now the weather is warm I can go out side and paint.  I am going to do a lot more paints using the mud colors this Summer.........

Egypt

I did that painting about the Aztecs and Mayans. So I decided to do one about the Egyptians. The way people first started to control the population with Gods and Large buildings and places of religious rituals. Like human sacrifice and animal sacrifice and all type of other bullshit. Yes these people were one of the first to realize you have to have a army or police then a leader or a King and gods for people to worship. This is the formula for civilization. And we still live under it today because most people are just not educated.
Or they are educated into it. Brought up under the yoke of religion. And bigotry. I hope mankind does not have to suffer to much more of this hypocrisy. Its like the Gothic Churches of  Europe the taller the ceilings the more you are overwhelmed and belittled. The more you feel  like you are in the presents of GOD. That is a concuss thing the builders did. Just like the pyramids in Egypt and the Ta's Mahala in India and the pyramids in Mexico or the Statues on Easter Island. They are all the same things....Don't you just love history and the facts....... Today we are becoming more like the Romans. Now we worship on Sundays at the big arenas watching Football or Basketball or Hockey or the latest Music Act. Its all the same.  30 x 40 oil on linen $ 200.000 USD

Guitar and Chair

I don't do many still life pieces but here is one. In the corner of a room sparse and bare is a small Mexican guitar leaning up against a old wooden chair.Waiting for the owner to return once again and play it hard and let the music begin. Vodka will spill from the lips of the man into the hole of the guitar again. Into the pores of the wood it will soak Till the souls of the man and guitar are chocked. I don't know why I did not put a bottle of alcohol in this painting maybe next time Anyway this one is 24 x 28 oil on linen $ 200.000 dollars USD

Giving Up

Here sits the glass ashtray silent but with it comes the ever present urge, the desire, the impending calm that only nicotine can give you. Yes it is perhaps one of the most addictive drugs in the world. Because it calms a frightened and weak animal who is naturally nervous and afraid.  Because people are basically prey you put a man on the planes of Africa and he is going to be eaten by something pretty quick   Without some kind of technology we are not the eaters but the eaten. So a drug that calms us down and lets us function in this mechanical and electronic world is perfect. Except it gives you lung cancer and takes away the quality of your life. If you can't walk to the disco you dam sure can't dance. So make some other way of taking nicotine that is satisfying and effective please without smoking.........  I have quit five and a half years.
